Standard Event Liability Waiver
All donations made to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® (CVMA®) will be used to further progress in our mission to be
“Vets Helping Vets”
In consideration of the risk of injury while participating in events and activities and their associated functions hosted by or in participation with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® Maine 17-1 the Crossroads Chapter (the Activity), and as consideration for the right to participate in the Activity, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, assigns, administrators, or personal representatives, knowingly and voluntarily enter into this waiver and release of liability and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in this Activity, and do hereby release and forever discharge the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association®, Maine 17-1, L-A Harley, venues, performers, vendors, their affiliates, managers, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors, sponsors, and assigns (the Event Organizers), for any physical or psychological injury, real or imagined, including but not limited to illness, paralysis, death, damages, temporary or permanent disability, economical or emotional loss that may be suffered as a result of participation in this Activity, including traveling to and from an event related to this Activity.
I am participating in this Activity voluntarily, and I am fully aware of the risks associated with my participation. I voluntarily agree to give up or waive any right I have to bring legal claim or action against the Event Organizers. This release also covers negligence.
I am experienced with the operation of motorcycles and fully understand the risks and dangers inherent in motorcycling. I am voluntarily participating in this event and I expressly agree to assume the entire risk of any accident or personal injury, including death, which I might suffer as a result of my participation in the event whether such risk results from negligence on the part of any or all the Released Parties. I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age, have a valid motorcycle license, and have motorcycle insurance as required by law.
In the event that I should require medical care or treatment, I agree to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. I understand that I should carry my own health insurance.
In the event that any provision contained within this Release of Liability shall be deemed to be severable, invalid, or if any term, phrase or portion of this agreement is deemed to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect, so long as the clause severed does not affect the intent of the parties.
I, the participant(s), affirm that I am at least 18 years of age, have a valid motorcycle license, current motorcycle insurance, and that I am agreeing to this agreement freely.
I agree that I have read and understand this agreement entirely and agree to be bound by it.
