CVMA Maine Chapter 17-1
The Crossroads Chapter
Cumberland Fair Gun Raffle
All donations made to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) will be used to further progress in our mission to be
“Vets Helping Vets”
As everyone knows by now, we are facing a situation that has not been seen in this country before.
Covid-19 (the coronavirus) has impacted every single person in America, and we all are having to find ways to make our way in the world we live in today.
Governor Mills, following the direction of President Trump and the CDC have suggested implementation of “social distancing” to help slow the spread of the virus that has become a global pandemic.
Included in some of these directions are the postponement or cancellation of events, including those the Crossroads Chapter has traditionally attended.
In the interest of public safety, the Twin Cities Gun Show will not be taking place, which impacts our Annual Spring Gun Raffle. Our normal procedure has been to select the winners following the sales of all raffle tickets. Those tickets almost always sell out before the end of the day on Sunday, so we have always set the drawing to correspond with the Twin Cities Gun Show.
Due to remarkable and unforeseen circumstances, we are being forced to change our normal procedures so that we can continue to operate our raffle and still raise money to help Veterans here in Maine. As a result, we are holding the drawing date of the for the prizes this year after all the raffle tickets have been sold through members.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause for people.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our fundraising efforts that help programs for those that have been instrumental in keeping America free.
